Women's Tailored Double Breasted Coat

Some coats do the talking before you walk into the room. This women's tailored double-breasted coat is one of them: wide peak lapels, six black buttons in two tidy columns and a shaped waist that keeps its line from the office to dinner. Button it up on a cold morning, or wear it open over a black knit when the afternoon turns mild.

The fabric is a smooth, dense wool-look blend of 64% polyester, 34% viscose and 2% Lycra, with a touch of give for reaching and walking. Long princess seams shape the waist, the skirt flares gently to the knee, and the details are the ones you notice: a welt pocket on the chest, two flap pockets at the hip and three small buttons on every cuff. It is cut to a regular fit, true to size.

Like every Ventiuno Paris piece, it comes from a small run in one atelier, where each pattern is corrected on the body before the final cut. When a colour sells out, it's usually gone.

Wear it over a black top with tall boots, as pictured, or throw it over a dress for evenings out.
